Undergraduate Research Initiative
This program supports meaningful research experiences for our Undergraduate students. Through the Corridor Undergraduate Research Initiative, each USF College may request up to $10,000 from the Florida High Tech Corridor to provide new and expanded research opportunities for their Undergraduate students.
Proposal for the academic SY 2025-26 are now being accepted. Please review the SY2025-26 Corridor Undergraduate Research Initiative guidelines and application instructions.
Key Dates:
To request these funds, Colleges are asked to submit a proposal via email to rsch-fhtcorridor@usf.edu by 5pm on Friday, October 3, 2025. Awards will be made within four weeks of the proposal deadline.
CONTINUING THIS YEAR: Colleges may request an additional $5,000 stipend to support one faculty member to serve as the College鈥檚 Director of Undergraduate Research -- to administer the Corridor-funded program and to liaise with the Office of Research & Innovation. This stipend aims to recognize and compensate faculty for the time and effort required for these roles, ensuring effective coordination and enhanced support for undergraduate research initiatives.
