Woody’s Brewing

Woody’s opened the doors to its brew pub on January 1st, 2015. It was the culmination of a dream that grew out of owner and head brewer Pat Wlodarczyk’s 30 year passion for brewing excellent beer. He started with a small brewhouse in Reno, Nevada where his one-keg system gave him just enough brew to enter (and win) various competitions. Now joined by his brothers, marketing and sales guru Scott and business savvy Andrew, they strive to bring the family’s ‘do it yourself’ mantra to the masses in the form of liquid goodness paired with delectable meals.

The pub offers a menu which changes and grows based on input from customers-when a special is wildly popular, the team carves out space on the menu to make it a regular. If you haven’t eaten at Woody’s yet, by the way, drop everything and go get lunch. Entrees are pulled from the staples of pub menus world-wide, but made with such care and artistry as to be unique among their peers.

For the opening ceremony, Woody’s will bring a sampling of their core house-brews: Nutty Woody English Brown (a caramel colored nutty brew with a dry finish), Apricot American Wheat (fruity and sweet), Berserker Double-IPA (the hoppiest of the bunch with notes of citrus), and Teacher’s Pet Amber Ale (a darling of a smooth ale). For now, Woody’s brews a rotational offering at the pub and leases space at Lassen Aleworks in Susanville, CA for the core brews. Soon, however, they break ground on their own brewing facility near the pub (downtown, on Oregon Ave.) and will feature a host of new beers once it’s complete, later this fall.
